Halo pet rescue vero beachIf you love animals and want to be a part of a great group of people who have dedicated their time to saving them, please join us and lend a “paw” for some of our upcoming fund raising events. We could use all the help we can get. Volunteer your time, help a worthy cause, support a no kill, non-profit shelter, and have a blast doing it.

Join us and show your support for the only No Kill shelter in Indian River county by walking for it. Bring your pets, children, family and friends and enjoy a 2 mile poker walk along Sebastian’s river and end at H.A.L.O. Rescue where there will be food & refreshments, live music, a dog wash, face painting,  professional pet photos, games, raffles, and events for the entire family to enjoy!
Our thank you to the community for giving us 5 great years of rescue, while raising funds to help save over 5000 in 2012!

2010′s walk was a huge success, raising more than 12,000.00! With the funds raised we are excited to announce the start of the building expansion. February 2nd we ordered our first 20 outdoor runs! It will take 6 months to complete this initial project and we are looking for sponsors to keep it going! Call today and find out how to purchase your own run as a tribute to you, your family, a business, a loved one that passed, a special occasion, etc. Custom plaques will be placed on each run dedicating the space as your contribution to saving lives. Please help us continue the renovation and expansion so that we may provide the rescues with comfortable, new, and spacious living quarters while waiting to find their new homes!
 
IN THE RUFF is over this year and once again – it was a spectacular event for HALO ! This annual event benefits H.A.L.O. Rescue and Stray No More, Inc. and was held at the beautiful Indian River Club in Vero Beach on Friday, August 19th and Saturday, August 20th, 2011.   Thanks to everyone for their hard work on making this event a success!

Kicking off the tournament was Friday night poolside cocktail party beginning at 6:30 PM. Entertainment  provided by the fun and quirky band, The Dog Bones, a six piece professional sextet, comprised of four trombones, tuba, and percussion. Heavy hors d’oeuvres will be served throughout the evening, along with a cash bar. At 7:00 PM, there was an police K-9 demonstration ~ and if you have never seen one, you are missing quite an impressive exhibition of talent and teeth!!!

Saturday morning, August 20th, the golf tournament began with a continental breakfast and registration at 8:00 AM. Tournament format is a four-man scramble teeing-off at 9:00 AM, followed by an all you can eat barbeque. Player entry fee is $100 per player. There was a silent auction, 50/50 raffle, door prizes and much more.

We are so proud of the great group that shot  us and spent the day showing their support for NO Kill shelters. They did an amazing job….. check it out!

February 26, 2011  Orchid Island Dog Wash- Members only will enjoy a Saturday dog wash on us! Get your pets squeaky clean, while raising funds to support a No Kill Shelter! We raised $1000.00 !! Thank you to Linda and all members who came out and showed their support for us! We had a great time and hope to come out every year!!
 

 ANNUAL PET BLESSING
Pet blessing at St. Elizabeth’s Episcopal Church 
901 Clermont Street  in Sebastian.
(this is an ecumenical event, you do not have to be a member of St. Elizabeth’s to participate)

There will be two blessings one at 11:00 am and one at 1:00 pm. (please have your animal leashed or in a carrier).  All kinds of activities for children, food, music and HALO will be there with information and animals.
